Fishing Area: Campania, Italy
Fishing Technique: Bolognese
My passion for fishing grew alongside me and my father, who used to rent a house near the sea in Agropoli during the summer. In the evenings, he would go fishing at the port, and I would accompany him, starting to learn about fishing lines, sinkers, and all the necessary equipment. As I grew older, I would go fishing by bicycle at the canal, then with a scooter at the small lakes. I ventured even farther when I got a car, losing some fishing companions, but gaining experience and know-how. Nowadays, you can find information on fishing from YouTube, and after watching a short video, everyone becomes a fisherman. But back then, we learned from the "Old-timers" of the trade. The curiosity to know what lies beneath the water's surface made me addicted to this "illness" called fishing. Today, my time is divided between family, work, and fishing. I am always eager to learn from everyone, as there is always something to learn, from the most experienced to the beginner. For the past year, I have been part of the Akami family, and I want to grow with them. My preferred technique? Bolognese fishing for life.
